Centrifugal separator is the equipment that realizes flow film dressing in the centrifugal force field. Its dressing principle is the same as that of flow film dressing performed in the plane gravity chute. Since the function of the centrifugal force that can be controlled artificially at will (mainly for the purpose of changing the number of revolutions of the drum) is introduced, the dressing process is intensified. Compared with the automatic chute, the production capacity of the centrifugal separator has been significantly improved, the lower limit of the separation granularity is reduced (fine tin silt, 40–50%/10 um), and the rich ore ratio is increased to some extent. As a result, centrifugal separator has gradually replaced the old automatic chute and become a new effective device for redressing of fine silt.
